To open students up to the idea of mark making in non-traditional ways. Students were asked to draw on large pieces of paper on the floor, and imagine that they were skating across the page. This was to allow them to experience working the use of their whole body in creating an artwork. After the exercise, they had to develop one of the drawings to a completed state. Pictured here is a final piece.
